High strength combined with great machining hardness, high wear resistance, excellent thermal conductivity, good tempering characteristics and excellent air hardenability. Suitable for water cooling, nitridable, good polishability. Suitable for corrosion and knurling.
Possible applications:
Die casting, extrusion, hot and cold shear blades, other thermoforming tools.

High purity, homogeneity and hardness.

In bar lengths of 500 and 1030 mm with machining allowance, in plates with square cross section and shape, maximum hardness 229 HB

Heat treatment:
Relaxation annealing: 650 - 680 °C
Workability annealing: 750 - 780 °C
Hardening by tempering: 1000 - 1030 °C
Rapid cooling: Oil, air or hot bath
Tempering: 530 - 680 °C
Special heat treatment:
In case of nitriding or EDM, the tempering temperature should be higher than the maximum secondary hardness level. It is recommended that tempering be repeated twice.
