Hot-work steel
High plasticity combined with assembly hardness, high resistance to thermal wear, particularly good thermal conductivity and tempering resistance, excellent hardenability, water-coolable, nitridable, good polishability, erodibility, knurling possible.
Possible applications:
Hot-working tool steel for die casting, extrusion, hot and cold shear blades, forging tools, and other hot-working tools.

Available in 1030-length bars with machining allowance, rectangular and square plates, subjected to annealing treatment, maximum hardness 229 HB (max 770 N/mm²).

Heat treatment:
Stress relief annealing: 650-680 °C
Process annealing: 750-780 °C
Hardening by quenching: 1000-1030 °C
Rapid cooling: Oil, air or hot bath
Tempering: 560 – 680 °C
Special heat treatment:
In case of nitriding or EDM, the tempering temperature should be higher than the maximum secondary hardness level. It is recommended that tempering be repeated twice.
