Good toughness, maximum wear hardness, minimum distortion, nitrable after special heat treatment
Range of application:
Cutting tools and punching dies for materials with high toughness, shear blades, trimming dies, planetary rolling mills, parts sensitive to breaking
PRÄZI – flat steel supplied
in length 500 and 1030 mm, in plate form with square cross section and as square dimension, soft annealed, max. 255 HB (max. 860 N/mm2).

Heat treatment data:
Stress-relief annealing: 650 – 700 °C
Soft annealing: 800 – 850 °C
Hardening: 1000 – 1050 °C
Quenching: Oil, air or warm bath 500°, gas excess pressure
Tempering: 480 – 580 °C
Special heat treatment:
If the material is eroded or nitrified the tempering temperature has to be above the secondary hardness maximum. A triple tempering is recommendable.
Präzi-flat steel according to DIN 59350 500mm
Tolerances: Thickness +0,20/0 mm, Width +0,20/0 mm, Length +5/0 mm (until 50.4mm)
Tolerances: Thickness +0,25/0 mm, Width +0,40/0 mm, Length +20/0 mm (from 60.4mm)
